Programme Description
In our programme, students are able to develop strong critical thinking, analytical, logical and problem solving skills which open doors to a wide career prospects ranging from business, industry, government, scientific research and much more. A variety of tools such as mathematical modelling, numerical analysis, calculus, discrete mathematics, ordinary differential equations, linear algebra, actuary, decision modeling and statistics are learnt by our students to solve a wide range of problems arise in economy, finance, business management, social sciences and health, to name a few.

Programme Structure

1st Year
35 credit hours consisting of TWO compulsory courses in Mathematics and ONE in Statistics, THREE university core courses, a beginner’s programming language course, TWO English language courses, and a co-curriculum course.

General Admission Requirement

GENERAL ADMISSION (KPM Matriculation/Foundation)

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)  / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper

and pass in KPM Matriculation / UM Asasi Sains / UiTM Asasi with a minimum CGPA of 2.00

and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

and meet the specific requirements of the programme
GENERAL ADMISSION (STPM)

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)  / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper;

and pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least obtain: Grade C for General Studies AND Grade C in 2 (two) other subjects

and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

and meet the specific requirements of the programme
GENERAL ADMISSION (STAM)

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)  / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper

and obtain at least a Jayyid Grade in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

and meet the specific requirements of the programme
GENERAL ADMISSION (Diploma)

Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)  / equivalent with credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia OR Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia July Paper

and possess a diploma or other qualifications recoqnised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate

and obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

and meet the specific requirements of the programme

Specific Admission Requirement

SPECIFIC ADMISSION (KPM Matriculation/Foundation)

Pass the Matriculation / Asasi Sains in all core subjects

and obtain at least Grade C at  Matriculation / Asasi Sains in the subject Mathematics / Engineering Mathematics / Preparatory Mathematics

and obtain at least credit in Mathematics at SPM level

and obtain at least credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level

and obtain a pass in English at SPM level OR obtain at least Band 2 in MUET

SPECIFIC ADMISSION (STPM)

Obtain at least Grade C at STPM level for one of the following subjects: Mathematics S / Mathematics T / Further Mathematics T

and obtain at least credit in Mathematics at SPM level

and obtain at least credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level

and obtain a pass in English at SPM level OR obtain at least Band 2 in MUET

 

SPECIFIC ADMISSION (STAM)

Obtain at least a Jayyid Grade in Mathematics at  STAM level

and obtain at least credit in Mathematics at SPM  level

and obtain at least credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level

and obtain a pass in English at SPM level OR obtain at least Band 2 in MUET

 

SPECIFIC ADMISSION (Diploma)

Possess a diploma in a related field

and obtain at least C for all Mathematics subjects at diploma level
